Chugach Mountains

The Chugach Mountains are a mountain range located in south-central Alaska, primarily in the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage areas. They are characterized by rugged terrain, glacial landscapes, and a diverse range of ecosystems. The range extends approximately 250 miles (400 km) and includes some of Alaska’s prominent peaks, such as Mount Marcus Baker and Mount St. Elias.
