Wetenschap

“Wetenschap” is the Dutch word for “science.” It refers to the systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. Science encompasses various fields, including natural sciences (such as biology, chemistry, and physics), social sciences (such as sociology and psychology), and formal sciences (such as mathematics and logic). It relies on empirical evidence, experimentation, and observation to develop theories and laws that further our understanding of the natural world and human behavior. The scientific method is a core aspect of science, involving hypotheses formulation, experimentation, data analysis, and peer review to validate results and eliminate biases.
