Natuurrampen

“Natuurrampen” is a Dutch term that translates to “natural disasters” in English. It refers to catastrophic events that occur as a result of natural processes of the Earth. These disasters can include a variety of phenomena such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and landslides, among others. Natural disasters can lead to significant destruction of property, loss of life, and severe economic impacts. They often disrupt communities and can have long-lasting effects on the environment. Responses to natural disasters include disaster preparedness, emergency rescue operations, recovery efforts, and changes in infrastructure or policy to mitigate future risks. Understanding and managing the impact of natural disasters is an important aspect of environmental science and public safety planning.
