Mode

In statistics, the mode refers to the value that appears most frequently in a data set. It is one of the measures of central tendency, alongside the mean and median. Unlike the mean, which is calculated by averaging all values, or the median, which is the middle value when the data is sorted, the mode identifies the single most common value or values. A data set may have one mode (unimodal), more than one mode (bimodal or multimodal), or no mode at all if no number repeats. The mode is particularly useful for categorical data where we wish to know which is the most common category. It is a simple yet effective way to summarize data and can provide insights into the distribution and trends within a data set.
