Heli-skiën

Heli-skiën, or heli-skiing, is an extreme outdoor activity that combines skiing or snowboarding with helicopter transport to reach remote or high-altitude snow-covered mountains. Unlike traditional skiing, where skiers start from a ski resort or designated trail, heli-skiing offers participants the opportunity to access untouched and off-piste terrain, providing an adventurous experience in deep powder snow. A helicopter picks up skiers from a designated landing area and drops them at a chosen mountain location, allowing for multiple runs in varied and often challenging conditions. Heli-skiing is typically conducted in areas with a high risk of avalanches, which necessitates the expertise of trained guides to ensure safety.
